It’s January and for many of us we are in the middle of winter. The days are shorter, the evening darkness is longer, and the weather is worse. This often makes it difficult to train. When we are able to train goalkeepers often spend a lot of time standing in the goal mouth trying to stay warm as they wait for shots to be taken.
So what motivates you to be a goalkeeper when the external conditions are so challenging? Many people would walk away during times like this.
Yet, you are a goalkeeper. You still come out and make saves. You get wet when going to the ground which makes it even colder for you out on the field.
We would love to hear what keeps you going in the dead of winter! Send us an email: firstname.lastname@example.org and we can put some of your comments and photos on our site.
